Daniel Phillipson is the founder and managing partner of Deep Energy Capital and an experienced investor with over 20 years in financial markets. Prior to forming Deep Energy Capital in 2021, Dan spent 18 years with PIMCO in London and Munich where he was most recently responsible for the evaluation, design and development of investment strategies across public and private markets. His responsibilities covered Europe, the Middle East and Africa region (EMEA) and his team covered over $300 billion in investor assets across public and private markets. Prior to PIMCO, Dan was active in strategic consulting with a focus on private equity transactions and divestments/spinouts from multinational corporations. A Canadian and German national, Dan has collaborated with and built investment solutions for sophisticated investors across global markets. Dan holds a business degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business in London, Ontario (Canada), completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business (USA), and Yale University’s Center for Business and the Environment (USA) Certificate in Financing and Deploying Clean Energy Program (FDCE). Dan is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.
